Overview:
These qualifications are National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs). NVQs encourage an employee to value their contribution to the workplace, and develop their skills and potential. It is recognised by the Joint Industry Board (JIB) for grading. This qualification requires occupational evidence.

Qualification pre-requisites:
You must have the potential to achieve the units selected within this qualification, (be working in the industry). Learners must have the minimum levels of literacy and numeracy to comply with the health and safety aspects of the scheme, the completion of the learning outcomes and the assessments.

Who is this qualification for?:
Those who wish to become a competent electrician. Those who wish to pursue a career in the electrotechnical/building services sector.

Minimum entry age: 16

How is this qualification assessed?:
The performance units are locally assessed and require occupational evidence. The Diploma also requires the completion of Electrotechnical Occupational Competence Unit as part of the qualification. The experienced worker qualification requires completion of the AM2S after this qualification to obtain a ECS electrician card. Both of Which are assessed at an NET Centre. The cost of these assessm,ents is not included, however we can help you in placing a booking.

How is this qualification assessed?:
The performance units require evidence from the workplace.
